Every year thousands of locals as well as thousands from around the world show up to enjoy Marina Del Rey's annual boat parade. The parade started in 1963 with less than 100 boats and organizers used to walk the docks to solicit entries. Now the parade boasts thousands of boats and is considered a mammoth event.
This year The Duchess will be positioned in the infield with a perfect vantage point for viewing the boats and parade.
